Mountain View Nursing Home

Mountain View Nursing Home (MVNH) is located in Madison County, VA (north of Charlottesville). The home was established in the early 1960s as a ministry of Oak Grove Mennonite, a Beachy Amish-Mennonite church. The home serves a mostly non-plain population, but is staffed almost entirely by Beachy Amish-Mennonites and conservative Mennonites. Much of the staff includes young adults, who serve for a year or two at the home. Among the young adult staff are some working to get a nursing degree (LPN or RN) and attend a local community college as part of their time at Mountain View.
